Who "Dont" wants to be a Millionaire ?

First of all I would like to say , I am not a good writer or a film Critic, I just want to share some of my thoughts.Yesterday I was talking with my mom , and she told me some real facts which has really some good points about the huge success of " SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE" . I read a hell lot of blogs and articles regarding this film, some people are over excited and some of them are hard core against of SM, though I m not gonna say anything to them and I am not at all afraid of the success of this film, but as an Indian I have some question and also the nearest answer about SM. I liked the film a lot and I m really happy for their success : Golden Globe- BAFTA - then OSCAR - a bit unexpected reaction from other part of the world...

Applause to Slumdog Millionaire :
  • Q : Are all the Indians aware of  the meaning Slumdog Millionaire?
  • A : Most probably NO . Cause every where they used to write "Slumdog Millionaire" not "Basti ka kutta Crorpati " nor " Bosti r kukur kotipoti " is not it very strange, English is not our national language but now a days everyone knows about this two Words ...but No we can not use those hindi and bengali words because Slumdog is kinda abusive or slang language.
  • Q : Is there any beneficial aspects for slum dwellers  ?
  • A : Again I guess NO. Every year many foreign people made Documentary or Films or NGO related projects on slums in India- but there are no corrective measures taken yet to help them. I have a story regarding this , and sometimes I really feel bad and guilty for this . Few years back one crazy and creepy person contacted us from Germany ( by root BANGLADESHI - MUSLIM ) and told us to make some Hard Copy presentation on Indian Slum dwellers specially on children and women, me and some of my friends visited slums and red light area in Kolkata (SONAGACHI).After completing the survey and we had sent the compiled documents and details project report to that dickhead guy. Much to our surprise instead of recognizing our hard work and efforts he and his associates spread a rumor that the job we have done was fake. Unfortunately people who were unable to grab that project supported that rumor and that German guy was just waiting for that because it was he who started the game so that he gets his job done without paying a single penny. I and my team members are very sure that by selling that project the German guy must have earned a lot. We are not jealous about the German guy earning the money but concerned about the commitments which we made to the slum dwellers we sincerely feel that we have cheated them by trusting that person blindly. Not only me , Every year loads of Indian people are trapped by this kind of incidents. I had spent my childhood very close to those areas and have seen them fighting for their livelihood. Sometimes I feel they are the ducks who lays golden egg but the society takes all the cream out of it.

  • Q : Now I am gonna tell that famous questions , which were answered by Jamal Malik in Slumdog Millionaire. I just want to know are every Indian can ans these question? Is that really possible?
  • A : NO .. but from these questions I can relate Indian a bit .. Lemme explain that .....
Q : Who was the star in 1973 hit film Zanzeer ?A : Amitav Bachan
[ He is the famous man in Indian Cinema - who was also anchoring that show " Kaun Banega Karorpati" in India ]

Q : A picture of three lions is seen in National Emblem of India. What is written underneath it?
A : “Most famous phrase in India”: The truth alone triumphs or Satyameva Jayate .
[ This is also the Logo of Govt of India - Govt means politicians - Is that perfectly going with our politicians at all ??? ]

Q : In depictions of god Rama he is famously holding what in his right hand?
A : Bow and Arrow
[ Dont want to say more about this , religion stuff again that Hindu-Muslim riots, bloods , fire etc etc ]

Q : The song “Darshan do Ghanshyam” was written by which famous Indian poet?
A : Surdaas
[ Very famous Bhajan in India , Symbolize Hinduism : Is that God exists at all ? ]

Q : On an American One Hundred dollar bill there is a Portrait of which American statesman?
A : Benjamin Franklyn
[Something about USA , $ means out sourcing now everyone attracted towards $ dollars - so its kind of symbolize the craziness to achieve the goal from "Land of opportunity" which is no longer exists.

Q : Who invented the revolver?
A : Samuel Colt
[May be it can be symbolize the Terrorism or Terror attacks in everywhere of the world]
Q : Cambridge Circus is in which UK city?
A : London
[ About our new generation in India who can ans this question very easily because of the Call center culture a
nd it can be harmful for new generation - less education - more money and fun that's the key of our life style ]

Q : Which cricketer has scored the most first class centuries in history?
A : Jack Hobbs
[Craze for the cricket -anyone can spend a whole day or 24hours in front of Television or Cricket Stadium in India]

Q : In Alexander Dumos book “The three musketeers" two of the musketeers are called Athos and Porthos. What was the name of the Third Musketeer?
A : Aramis
[Somehow I can’t relate this question with India or Indian Culture or Indian education - and there is no point to teach literature with this , may be for the support of the climax - Danny needed that ]

I like the film because of all aspects : the story - screenplay - editing - sound - camera - cinematography ...oops these are technical stuff , as a normal audience I like the film because of the reality , real
slums- child beggar - child labor - child abusing - Globalization and a sweet love story behind all of this , sentiment - emotion eevery
thing are there, now a days we can not even trust our own brother or sister : that anchor(Anil Kapoor) back stabbed Jamal ( Dev Patel ), that is the reality show in every where - Show's producer or director can make a show dramatic or controversial - that is the reality - sometimes I thought we are just like that Dolls or Robot who can only response by any power or powerful person. We are Indian and we can not accept the reality easily thats our problem. I can say India can be a "Land of Dream" but according to me its very tough to Make our dreams come true , it can be very harsh and rough to hear but its true . If this film Produced or Directed by an Indian person it will be very tough to make this film a history... So may be we can say we are the Indian and now can be a millionaire through these foreigners after all everyone related with GLOBALIZATION.
